This trailhead is on the Norton Peak/Lakes road. Getting to Baker Lake is much shorter if you drive a little further up and start from the Baker Lake Trailhead, but I wanted to hike a longer distance. I had looked at Baker Peak and thought about hiking up that, but decided it would take too long once I got to the lake. I did go a little above the lake though to check out the peak. Going this way made the hike right around 10 miles, and it was pretty nice.
